Born in Los Angeles to Greek Immigrant parents in 1979, Elias Sipsas makes his artwork dealing with themes from antiquity to information architecture.  Like those before him, he creates casts of characters in order to construct a world in which nature becomes a fantastic realization. Sipsas breathes life into these worlds using the most rudimentary elements. His unique organization of these elements becomes a visual rhetoric. Shapes, lines, and colors become networks and channels, into which the eye falls and coalesces with form. Through the act of making and the creative process he reveals the underlying construct of the natural world.
