Travis Schooley

Travis Schooley Biography:

Working from his LA studio, Travis Schooley is driven by the broad span of information that has been made readily available since the advent of the microprocessor. His work acts as a framing point onto our societal neuroses due to over saturation of information.

An over arching theme in his body of work is the human position in a space that's boundary increases through the theoretical sciences. His work deals with the human implications of existence that is ever expanding and collapsing in on itself to render our existence as finite by comparison to its container. This work is a gap stop between immensely diverse human existence and the expanding universe that threatens to scale it down to its' lowest common denominator. The gantry of our physical existence manifests in his work as what appear to be made of randomly placed toothpicks. It is our aspirations that give us worth.
Inspiration is the gantline of any society, it is the pulley that his work focuses on.
